Snowbush IP's USB 3.0 SS PHY can be provided together with our USB 3.0 Controller as part of a complete, and fully integrated, USB 3.0 SuperSpeed solution to minimize design effort and risk. The PHYs are compliant with Universal Serial Bus Specification 3.0, and incorporate the industry-standard PIPE3 interface for seamless integration with our USB 3.0 Controller solutions. (They can easily be integrated with third party USB 3.0 controllers when required.)
Snowbush IP's USB 3.0 SuperSpeed PHY incorporates advanced features, such as adaptive receive equalization technology, enabling error-free data to be sent over many inches of PCB on the host and device, as well as lossy USB-specified cables. The sophisticated transmit driver is programmable to provide a wide range of transmit amplitudes and pre-emphasis to suit a variety of channels. The driver is also designed to be extremely power efficient, and the power consumption scales with the transmit amplitude, allowing for ultra-low power operation. Snowbush IP's industry-leading technology ensures our USB 3.0 SuperSpeed PHYs provide excellent margin for all key specifications of USB 3.0 SuperSpeed, while maintaining robust operation over process, voltage, and temperature variations.
The PHY also includes various testability and diagnostic features including BIST, 7 internal loop-back modes, on-chip pattern generator and checkers supporting both user-defined and industry-standard PRBS data patterns, and digital diagnostic buss.
