Snowbush IP SATA Device and Host controllers have been architected to have very low latency and power with minimal gate-count. They achieved the industry's highest throughput and support advance power management features. Their unique design ensures customers can execute quick timing closure, and a very small silicon footprint. The controllers include a practical and powerful user interface that simplifies and streamlines the integration of the cores with the customer's logic. The SATA Device and Host Controllers have gone through thorough testing for compliance, interoperability and bandwidth using industry-standard 3rd party software - Drive Master from ULINK Technology.
The SATA Host controller is AHCI-compliant, and comes with bridge logic to connect to most standard processor bus protocols including AMBA AHB and AMBA AXI bus protocols for the growing embedded applications that require SATA interface.
The SATA Device controller is again intelligently architected to provide flexibility to the user with the inclusion of an optional command processing engine, in RTL, as a part of the test-bench. This is a very attractive feature for applications that require to process the commands using hardware instead of software.
